Asante Kotoko defeat Inter Allies

Asante Kotoko has drawn level on points with Ghana Premier League (GPL)  leaders Heart of Oaks after a fascinating 3-2 victory against Inter Allies.

Fabio Gama and Andrew’s Apau combined to seal the victory for Asante Kotoko.

The Kotoko skipper, Emmanuel Gyamfi, led from the front as he netted the first goal to put his side a goal ahead.

The Porcupine Warriors lead was short-lived as Alex Aso of the Inter Allies side benefited from some poor goalkeeping to slot in the equalizer.

In a game where both teams excelled, Asante Kotoko went into the half with the lead, as striker Evans Adomako doubled the Warriors lead.

Inter Allies fought after the break and equalized in the 63rd minute when Andy Okpe scored.

Appau climbed highest in the 70th minute to head in a free-kick from Brazilian Fabio Gama on the left wing to give his side the lead and win they were after.

Inter Allies are now at the bottom of the table, six points adrift of safety with five games remaining.
